Grupo Rotoplas S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: AGUA) (“Rotoplas” or “the Company”), the leading water solutions company in the Americas, continues to proactively take measure to provide water solutions to its customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, while safeguarding the health and wellbeing of employees and the communities in which it operates and complying with all local laws and regulations.
At the corporate level, Rotoplas employees continue to work fully effectively from home. At the plant level, Peruvian operations remain closed, as are the distribution centers in El Salvador and Honduras. Plants in Argentina and Guatemala are operating intermittently. Elsewhere, our plants are operating according to demand needs, and always subject to applicable sanitary and hygiene protocols.
Rotoplas’ 3,250 employees are fundamental to the company’s ongoing success, and to that end the company has launched a series of important initiatives to help them navigate COVID-19 and prepare them for future societal changes derived from the pandemic. We have launched a communication campaign to maintain our employees fully abreast of latest Coronavirus news. In this framework we are:
- Offering virtual conferences to better understand how consumer habits are evolving and will change in the face of the pandemic and how to communicate with customers in this new climate.
- Making available multiple courses and lectures to employees on innovation, leadership, operations, and other relevant skills, guided by the principles of Flow, our organizational transformation program. Under #aprendeReto (#learningChallenge) we are providing incentives to employees to participate and take advantage of these continuous learning tools.
- Providing online workouts and mediation classes for corporate employees in Mexico.
With respect to our financial position, the company continues to prioritize a strong balance sheet and liquidity. We are continuously monitoring our clients and suppliers to help sales, ensure bills are paid in a timely fashion, and cash flows remain healthy. We are stress testing different scenarios so as to be prepared for different eventualities.
Rotoplas’s water products and solutions have an important part to play in helping combat the spread of COVID-19. To that end, the Company continues to work closely with local authorities and various NGOs in all our main regions to provide water services support, especially with respect to access to clean and drinking water, and hand washing facilities.
Rotoplas will always act in the best interests of all our stakeholders – employees, customers, shareholders, suppliers, and the broader community in which it operates.
