Mexico City, November 25, 2024 – Buffalo Energy Mexico Holdings S.A. de C.V. (“BEMH”, “Valia”, or “the Company”), a leading private energy producer in Mexico and a portfolio company of Actis, announced today its unaudited financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2024.
Third Quarter 2024 Highlights
- YTD Adjusted EBITDA increased 6.4% compared to the first 9-months of 2023
- The Sistema Interconectado Nacional’s (“SIN”) power demand decreased by 2.8% YoY
- The decline was driven by a shift in the hottest months from Q3 in 2023 to Q2 this year
- LMPs averaged $46.93 per MWh in Q3 2024, down from $71.30 per MWh recorded in Q3 2024
- Valia’s fleet achieved a Pro Forma (excluding RB III) YTD availability of 95%; Sunrise reached 94%
- RB III’s outage in one of its two-unit generators continued through Q3 2024
- YTD Adjusted Gross Profit decreased 1.4% compared to 2023, reaching $232 million
- The Sunrise portfolio contributed 51% and Sunset the remaining 49%
- Pro forma DSCR stood at 1.43x
