Mexico City, Mexico, June 6, 2024—Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, S.A.B. de C.V., known as OMA (NASDAQ: OMAB; BMV: OMA), reports that terminal passenger traffic at its 13 airports increased 0.6% in May 2024, as compared to May 2023. Domestic traffic decreased 0.9%, and international traffic increased 13.3%. During May, Acapulco Airport operated in a regular manner, the figures reflect the impact of Hurricane Otis on the destination. Excluding Acapulco Airport, terminal passenger traffic in its remaining 12 airports increased 1.6% during May 2024, as compared to May 2023.
Total Passengers*
Of total passenger traffic, 99.4% was commercial, and 0.6% was general aviation.
During May, United Airlines resumed operations of the international route Acapulco-Houston, which was suspended due Hurricane Otis.
