The Chain’s occupancy as of February 2023 was calculated based on 152 hotels and 17,487 rooms in operation. On February 1st, the Company had two hotel openings: the City Express Plus Guadalajara Providencia hotel with 150 rooms and the City Express Plus Mazatlán hotel with 130 rooms. Likewise, we announced the mutually agreed termination of City Express Plus Satélite’s 89-room franchise agreement. Occupancy for the month reached 54.2%, an increase of 9.2 percentage points vs. the same month in 2022. Average daily rate increased by 13.9% year over year, reaching $1,200 pesos, which led to a RevPAR of $650 pesos, an increase of 37.1% vs. 2022.
The following graphs show the recovery trend in room rates and occupancy levels compared to the previous year. During February, the trend of increased occupancy and rates observed in the previous month continued, surpassing 2022’s levels.
During February, the average rate reached the highest level in the Chain’s history. The Northeast and Southeast regions also stood out with the Chain’s highest occupancy levels. We attribute this month’s positive results to the reactivation of the Northern Border region, the Energy Corridor, and the Pacific region. We continue to see a significant recovery in the Bajío region, where we have captured demand from customers resuming operations.
Finally, consolidated revenue for February reached $265.9 million pesos, representing a 40.1% increase (vs. the previous year 2022).
