Mexico City, Mexico, March 5, 2021—Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, S.A.B. de C.V., known as OMA (NASDAQ: OMAB; BMV: OMA), reports that terminal passenger traffic at its 13 airports decreased 53.9% in February 2021, as compared to February 2020. Domestic traffic decreased 51.0%, and international traffic decreased 70.8%. Passenger traffic decrease reflects the impact on demand caused by COVID-19. Decreases in passenger traffic reflect the impact on demand caused by COVID-19, as well as restrictions to international flight operations to the United States and flight suspensions in Canada, which mainly affected international passenger traffic performance in Monterrey, Mazatlán and Zihuatanejo.
Total Passengers*
Of total passenger traffic, 98.6% was commercial, and 1.4% was general aviation.
