Mexico City, January 19th, 2024 – Terrafina (“TERRA”) (BMV: TERRA13), a leading Mexican industrial real estate investment trust (“FIBRA”), externally advised by PGIM Real Estate and dedicated to the acquisition, development, lease, and management of industrial real estate properties in Mexico, announced today that in its meeting held yesterday, January 18th, 2024, Terrafina’s Technical Committee took note of the receipt of a copy of a letter of resignation dated January 11th, 2024 and addressed to the Trustee, presented by Mr. Enrique Lavín Treviño as a member of the Technical Committee appointed by PLA Administradora Industrial, S. de R. L. de C.V., the Advisor to Terrafina.
In this resignation letter, Mr. Lavín stated that the reasons for his resignation are that, as an officer of the Advisor, he wants to avoid any perception of a conflict of interest in connection with the analysis of alternatives for Terrafina’s management, including a potential “internalization” of the activities currently conducted by the Advisor, and though he supports analyzing such alternatives, he disagrees with the process that has been followed to approach such analysis.
All members of Terrafina’s Technical Committee are deeply grateful for the many valuable contributions of Mr. Lavín during his term as a member of the Technical Committee of Terrafina.
