TRAXIÓN Announces Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2022 Results


The figures presented in this report have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and are expressed in nominal millions of Mexican Pesos (MXN), unless otherwise stated.

  • Consolidated revenue reached Ps. 5,487 million during the quarter and Ps. 20,325 million during the year, an increase of 20.6% and 19.0%, respectively, compared to same periods of 2021.
  • The Logistics and Technology Segment recorded revenue growth of 27.1% in 4Q22 and 24.3% in 2022, mainly due to the progress and penetration of technological applications, as well as the start-up of operations in the pharmaceutical vertical.
  • General expenses recorded efficiencies as a percentage of revenue of 120 basis points in 4Q22, and 230 basis points in 2022, compared to the same periods in 2021.
  • Consolidated EBITDA totaled Ps. 961 million in the quarter and Ps. 3,599 million in the year, an increase of 13.1% and 5.8% respectively, compared to the same periods of 2021.
  • EBITDA margin was 17.5% in 4Q22 and 17.7% in 2022.
  • Net income totaled Ps. 13 million in 4Q22 and Ps. 504 million in 2022.
  • Net operating cash flow totaled Ps. 1,105 million in 4Q22 and Ps. 3,431 million in 2022, growths of 15.6% and 25.0% respectively, compared to the same period of 2021.
  • CapEx was Ps. 1,038 million in 4Q22, and Ps. 3,391 million in 2022.
  • Net Debt to EBITDA ratio was 2.38x at the end of 2022.
  • The fleet had an average of 9,883 total power units in operation during 4Q22.

Logistics and Technology
Through this segment, TRAXIÓN provides logistics solutions across the supply chain using digital platforms and technology-driven applications and an asset-light focus. Among the services rendered are integrated 4PL logistics solutions, 3PL warehouse management, last-mile, courier and delivery services, and rail intermodal cargo brokerage. At the end of 4Q22, it operated more than 679,898 square meters (7.3 million sq. ft.) of 3PL warehouse, and a last-mile fleet of 815 units. 
Mobility of Cargo 
This segment provides integrated cargo solutions. Amongst the services rendered are dedicated freight, less-than-truckload, intermodal, refrigerated freight, international cargo and borders transfers, petrochemicals, moving and specialized transportation. We operate 5 leading and recognized brands: Transportadora EGOBA, Muebles y Mudanzas MYM, Grupo SID, Auto Express Frontera Norte, and Autotransportes El Bisonte. TRAXIÓN operates one of the youngest, most modern, and flexible fleets in the industry, with 2,366 power units at the end of 3Q22.
Mobility of Personnel
The mobility of personnel segment provides personnel transportation services to corporations, industrial parks, and hotels, as well as student transportation to schools and universities, and tourism services to groups. Through its subsidiary LIPU, TRAXIÓN operates a centralized platform under dedicated contracts or spot service and the largest and most modern fleet in Mexico composed of an average of 6,714 power units at the end of 4Q22.
