Alsea achieves quarterly sales record, reaching 16.8 billion pesos in 2Q2022

  • In 2Q22, Alsea reported 6 quarters of sustained sales and positive EBITDA growth in all regions
  • Same-Store Sales (SSS):

  • Despite the normalization of economic activities and open stores, home delivery sales continued to grow. For the quarter, delivery sales increased 13.1% vs. 2Q21, totaling 3,100 million pesos, 11 million orders, and representing an 18.4% share of consolidated sales
  • The Company has over 6.2 million active users across all its digital platforms
  • EBIDTA in 2Q22 increased by 779 million pesos vs. 2Q21, to reach 3,627 million pesos for the quarter
  • EBITDA:

  • Net Income for 2Q22 was 237 million pesos, an increase of 180 million pesos compared to 2Q21, with a net margin of 1.4%, and an earnings per share of 2.32 pesos.
  • In 2Q22, capital expenditure reached 863 million pesos, driven by the opening of 34 corporate units, for a total of 61 openings in the last six months.
  • Cash held climbed to 5.0 billion pesos at the end of 2Q22, compared to 3.8 billion at the end of 2Q21.
  • At the end of 2Q22, the Company employed 73,667 people, compared to 65,520 in 2Q21.
