Hoteles City Express Announces the Appointment of Mr. Baltasar Artero as Chief Development Officer

Mexico City, September 17th, 2020 – Hoteles City Express, S.A.B. de C.V. (“Hoteles City Express” or “the Company”) (BMV: HCITY), announces today the appointment of Mr. Baltasar Artero as Chief Development Officer.

Mr. Artero has over 17 years of experience leading teams in construction, business development, and project management in multinational companies, in sectors such as Hotels, Airports, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Industrial. He has carried out projects with a high technological component in several countries in Europe and Latin America. After serving as our Construction Director, he now takes on the position as Chief Development Officer at the chain level.

Mr. Artero will be replacing Mr. Javier Arce, who has decided to leave the company for personal reasons on December 31st, 2020. The transition in responsibilities from Mr. Javier Arce to Mr. Baltasar Artero began three years ago, and has enabled the  effective handover of experience and knowledge accumulated since the company was founded.

Mr. Artero is a Superior Industrial Engineer from the Higher Technical School of Engineering at the University of Seville. He has a master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the IE Business School in Madrid, and a postgraduate degree in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency Auditing from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
