TRAXIÓN Announces Third Quarter 2021 Results

The figures presented in this report have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and are expressed in nominal million Mexican Pesos (MXN), unless otherwise stated.

  • Consolidated revenue reached Ps. 4,321 million, a 14.5% growth compared to 3Q20. This was mainly due to a 39.1% expansion in revenues of the logistics and technology segment. Accumulated revenues have grown 22.5% compared to the first nine months of 2020.

  • Consolidated EBITDA was Ps. 902 million, a 6.9% increase compared to the same period of 2020; while accumulated EBITDA increased 14.3% versus 9M20.

  • EBITDA Margin was 20.9%, compared to 22.4% in 3Q20.

  • General expenses decreased 1.8%, with a 220 basis-point efficiency as a percentage of revenues, compared to 3Q20.

  • Net income totaled Ps. 277 million, a 45.0% increase compared to 3Q20. During the first nine months of 2021, net income recorded a 51.9% growth versus the same period of 2020.

  • Comprehensive financial result shows a Ps. 94 million improvement, which is a 45.9% efficiency compared to 3Q20.

  • Operating cash flows reached 531 million, compared to Ps. 566 million in the same period of 2020.

  • CapEx in 3Q21 was Ps. 396 million, compared to Ps. 171 million in 3Q20.

  • The net debt-to-EBITDA ratio was 1.56x, compared to 1.69x in 3Q20.

  • Average fleet in operation was 8,788 units.

The Company operates one of the youngest, most modern, and flexible fleets in the industry, with and an average of 2,244 power units at the end of 3Q21.
Logistics and Technology
Through this segment, TRAXIÓN provides logistics solutions across the supply chain using digital platforms and technology-driven applications. Among the services rendered are integrated 4PL logistics solutions, 3PL warehouse management, last-mile, courier and delivery services, and cargo brokerage. At the end of 3Q21, it operated more than 596,615 square meters (6.4 million sq. ft.) of 3PL warehouse, and a last-mile fleet of 808 units.
Mobility of Personnel
The mobility of personnel segment provides personnel transportation services to corporations, industrial parks, and hotels, as well as student transportation to schools and universities, and tourism services to groups. Through its subsidiary LIPU, TRAXIÓN operates a centralized platform under dedicated contracts or spot service and the largest and most modern fleet in Mexico composed of an average of 5,736 power units at the end of 3Q21.
